In 1988, Francois Shipping was incorporated in Singapore with three pioneers. After forming a joint venture with Austen Maritime Services Pte Ltd in 1995, Francois Shipping was renamed as Francois Marine Services Pte Ltd. In 2001, Francois Marine becomes a fully owned subsidiary of Austen Maritime.

Austen Maritime is jointly owned by Northern Marine Management Ltd and P&O Maritime Services with 50% shareholding each. Northern Marine Management is a wholly owned subsidiary of Stena AB Gothenburg and P&O Maritime Services is a 100% subsidiary of DP World.

Our parent company, Austen Maritime, was incorporated in Singapore in 1986 with a primary aim of providing payroll services, port and ship agency, personnel and technical management, crewing and manning services. Over the last 20 years, Austen Maritime has also expanded their fields of expertise into representation for major shipbuilding and conversion projects, ship surveying and inspection.

In conjunction with our parent company, Austen Group provides a one stop centre for a variety of services to the marine and offshore industries; oil and gas companies; ship-owners and operators.
