25 June is Day of Seafarer

On 20 April, Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) wrote a letter to acknowledge seafarers as key workers in the COVID-19 situation and assure them that IMO is working to help them repatriate home. As an essential service recognized by the Singapore government, we empathize with seafarers who are caught in the pandemic control-situation.

Today, Francois Marine Services pays tribute to seafarers, acknowledging their sacrifice and the issues they face – their unknown due dates of returning home after months out at sea, uncertainties and obstacles encountered at port access and re-supply.
